Dates for Syrian leather show announced

The International Fair of Shoes and Leather Products will run from March 5-8, 2010, in Damascus, Syria. Around 9,800 people from seven countries reportedly attended the last edition of the show.
In addition to attending the fair, visitors will be given the opportunity to visit factories belonging to leading Syrian manufacturers and a formal dinner will take place.
Syria exports most of its production to neighbouring countries as well as to North Africa and Eastern Europe. It imports shoes, leather garments, clothes, raw materials, machinery, chemicals, and accessories from a range of countries including Italy, China, Germany, India, Portugal, Turkey and Brazil.
