Mian Najeeb Zafar, owner of the Eastern Leather Factory near Kathiala, Pakistan, has been killed during a riot at the site. One other worker was killed and many others were injured during the outbreak of violence.

According to reports, the riot broke after Mr Zafar was accused of desecrating the Koran. Gunfire was reported to have been heard.

The injured workers were taken to a nearby hospital and many are still thought to be in a critical condition.

No arrests have yet been made, but police say they are doing their best to apprehend those involved.
