JBS announces job losses

Brazilian packer group JBS Friboi has announced that it is making 172 workers at its plant in Campo Grande in Mato Grosso do Sul redundant. The plant has a total workforce of around 1,100 at the moment.

Press spokespeople at the company said the move was the direct result of increased efficiencies that JBS has been able to bring into its operations there.
