TFL inaugurates new research centre

06/07/2009

Specialist leather chemicals provider TFL has officially opened its new research centre on the site of its French manufacturing site at Hunigue.

The company’s research and development operation is moving from corporate headquarters in Basel to the new centre.

The company has explained that it has now centralised all technical functions—research and development, its competence centre, its pilot plant and its product management activities at its facilities in Huningue.

Product management moved some time ago and is now fully functional. An upgrade of the application centre and the leather testing laboratory is under way, with completion scheduled for the end of August.

TFL says that having research and development so close to application and production will improve the efficiency of its processes and help it introduce innovation for its customers at a faster rate.
