Professor Duan Zhenji passes away

Professor Duan Zhenji died from cancer on June 27 at the age of 75. He passed away in Beijing, China.
Professor Duan held a number of important roles during his career including vice honorary president of the China Leather Industry Association, professor at Sichuan University and director of cleaner tanning technology at the National Engineering Laboratory.
He dedicated his whole career to the leather industry and is said to have made great contributions to technological developments within China’s leather sector.
