New dust remover at Equitan
Since it was established 11 years ago, Italian tannery equipment supplier Equitan has been developing products to eliminate problems associated with dust during the production of leather.
Because dust can seriously affect the appearance of finished leather, the company’s latest dust deterrent is a new stand-alone throughfeed machine that removes dust from the leather. The machine’s belt and roller system picks up any dust from the leather surface and, at the same time, collects the dust ready for disposal. Leathers are fed by an operator onto the transport belt which feeds into the 3400mm wide machine and come out clean at the feed-out side. This process is particularly important prior to intermediate and top-coat coating using spraying or rollcoating operations.
