Leather clothing acts as historical reminder

Berlin-based designer Daniel Rodan has launched a new range of leather apparel using Berlin Wall imagery. According to Reuters, the line aims to mark the 20th anniversary of the wall being brought down.

The range, which includes dresses and menswear, will be worn by various celebrities in the near future and will then be auctioned for charity.

According to Reuters, some of the artwork used on the garments is based on art from the East Side Gallery, a 1,300 metre-long stretch of the wall painted by 118 artists from 21 countries in 1990. Mr Rodan’s idea was to bring together politics, art and fashion all in one apparel item.
