BSLT professor to launch first book

Tony Covington is to release his first book entitled “Tanning Chemistry: The Science of Leather” on June 30.
The new publication encompasses the chemistries and mechanisms of tanning, together with the latest thinking on the fundamental principles of collagen stabilisation.
Professor Covington recently won the 2009 IULTCS Merit Award for Excellence in the Leather Industry, which will be awarded at the 30th IULTCS Congress in Beijing, to be held on the October 11–14 (see leatherbiz 02.04.09).
