Training for leather sector accountants

29/05/2009

According to reports, Sidbi (the small industries development bank of India) and development firm IL&FS are taking steps to support the Indian leather sector.

In order to do this, they are offering to train accountants who are working with leather companies so that small firms and entrepreneurs can take advantage of government incentives.

The downturn has affected many leather companies in Indian, with orders from Europe falling dramatically. Furthermore, some companies have failed to keep accurate financial records, and this has had an impact when it comes to obtaining credit.

The training provided will include general accounting training as well as industry-specific help.
