Candidate feels tanners' pain

Bárbara Botello, a candidate to be the new mayor of León, Mexico's leather capital, has visited a group of tanneries in the city as part of her campaign.
Ms Botello said the workers she had spoken to had complained of finding it a struggle to make ends meet because of shortened working hours, with some facilities running a three-day week.
She said she would help employers by giving them the infrastructure and services they required and better access to funding.
