High hopes for Michael Jackson’s leathers
Leather apparel worn by Michael Jackson is to be auctioned on May 1 and are expected to attract bids of more than £35,000.
The world-famous pop star wore the custom-made, jacket and trousers in the video for ‘Bad’, directed by Martin Scorsese, which stormed the charts back in 1987.
The black jacket features 11 gold badges on the chest, as well as crests on the sleeve and buckles on the arms. The belt Michael Jackson wore in the video will also be sold. It is encrusted with small amber crystals and features the ‘Bad’ logo.
The auction will take place at Profiles auction house in California.
