BLC hosts safety and sustainability talks in Brazil

BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd is to provide practical support and information relating to safety, sustainability and leather technology at a conference that is running April 27-30 and May 4-7 at the Brazilian Association of Leather Technicians and Chemists’ (ABQTIC’s) auditorium in Estancia Velha, Brazil (see leatherbiz April 15, 2009).

BLC training is focusing on various aspects of leather manufacture with an emphasis on cleaner technologies, environmental and ecological issues and the importance of ensuring that leather and leathergoods conform to restricted substances requirements. 

In addition to the presentations, BLC is offering a series of one-to-one sessions to provide further information on subjects such as the REACH directive, an overview of restricted substances and other issues relevant to leather and footwear materials.
