Downturn affects Spain’s production levels

According to Spain's National Statistics Institute, industrial production fell as the effects of the global economic crisis continued to strike.
Figures show that the country’s total industrial output fell 23.9% in February compared with data from February 2008. The production of leather and leathergoods fell at a slightly lower rate of 21.8% year-on-year.
