Münzing sells leather chemicals division

Münzing sold its leather chemicals business to Zschimmer & Schwarz as of April 1. The decision to sell is part of Münzing’s strategy to focus on and grow its paper and coatings as well as the metalworking and industrial fluids additives businesses.

The business will be integrated into the existing Zschimmer & Schwarz leather auxiliaries division.

Zschimmer & Schwarz was founded 1894 and has its headquarters in Lahnstein near
Koblenz, Germany
. It develops and produces high performance chemical auxiliaries for the leather and fur, ceramic, textile and fibre industries, among others.
 
Münzing is a family-owned business founded in 1830 with headquarters in
Heilbronn, Germany. It develops and produces high performance additives for paints, coatings, inks, adhesives, industrial applications and building materials as well as specialities for the paper industry.
