The fifty participants comprising the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) received leathergoods export orders worth $20 million during the 25th Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) in Hong Kong.

Pakistan won an award at the event, which ran March 31 to April 2, for its exceptional presentation of products at the event. PTA chairman, Agha Saiddain, received the award from APLF chief executive officer, Michael Duck.

According to Mr Saiddain, Pakistan’s pavilion continued to draw visitors because of the high-quality leather gloves, bags, shoes, garments and other finished leathergoods on offer.
