Fatal accident at effluent treatment plant

A fatal accident has occurred at Pakistan’s first combined effluent treatment plant (CETP). Four workers died at the plant, which is for the tanneries cluster in the Korangi Industrial Area of Karachi.
The casualties occurred after the four labourers inhaled poisonous gases in an underground water reservoir. Two of their colleagues lost consciousness but were later revived.
Further investigations are being carried out by local police.
