Hides and Skins: Net sales of 580,200 pieces were up 18 percent from the previous week and 47 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 580,400 pieces were primary for China (281,700 pieces), South Korea (164,200 pieces), Taiwan (49,600 pieces), Vietnam (20,200 pieces) and Hong Kong (19,900 pieces). Exports of 413,000 pieces were down 15 percent from the previous week and from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 406,200 pieces were primarily to China (165,600 pieces), South Korea (117,400 pieces), Taiwan (56,500 pieces), Mexico (23,200 pieces) and Hong Kong (15,400 pieces). 

Net sales of 81,500 wet blues were up noticeably from the previous week and 52 percent above the prior four-week average. Increases were for China (70,700 unsplit and 5,000 grain splits), Taiwan (6,800 unsplit), Mexico (4,300 grain splits and 1,000 unsplit) and Vietnam (3,200 unsplit). Exports of 79,400 hides were up six percent from the previous week, but down 14 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (33,200 unsplit and 9,800 grain splits), Mexico (8,200 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit), Hong Kong (9,000 unsplit) and Italy (5,900 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 756,300 pounds—a marketing-year high—were for Hong Kong (694,100 pounds) and China (62,200 pounds). Exports of 656,300 pounds were up 73 percent from the previous week and 81 percent from the prior four-week average.
