Hides and Skins: Net sales of 276,900 pieces were down 20 percent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 273,700 pieces were mainly for South Korea (130,400 pieces), China (96,800 pieces), Hong Kong (14,300 pieces), Taiwan (11,300 pieces) and Japan (8,900 pieces). Exports of 509,700 pieces were up 35 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 505,800 pieces were primarily to China (263,400 pieces), South Korea (129,100 pieces), Taiwan (35,800 pieces), Hong Kong (21,300 pieces) and Mexico (19,300 pieces). 

Net sales of 99,200 wet blues were up noticeably from the previous week. Increases were for China (62,300 unsplit and 5,700 grain splits), Italy (12,900 unsplit), Mexico (6,800 grain splits and 1,900 unsplit) and Taiwan (6,400 unsplit). Exports of 105,000 hides were up 31 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (29,200 unsplit), Taiwan (23,000 unsplit), China (20,200 unsplit) and Mexico (12,800 grain splits and 1,900 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 556,000 pounds were for China (297,500 pounds), Hong Kong (250,000 pounds) and India (8,500 pounds). Exports of 157,000 pounds were down 78 percent from the previous week and 50 percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were China (85,500 pounds), South Korea (45,000 pounds) and India (26,500 pounds).
