Hides and Skins: Net sales of 345,600 pieces were down 39 percent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 344,200 pieces were mainly for South Korea (148,800 pieces), China (114,100 pieces), Hong Kong (20,100 pieces), Mexico (17,600 pieces) and Thailand (10,400 pieces). Exports of 378,100 pieces were down 24 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 366,300 pieces were primarily to China (174,600 pieces), South Korea (84,000 pieces), Taiwan (34,300 pieces), Hong Kong (20,400 pieces) and Mexico (18,000 pieces). 

Net sales of 32,500 wet blues were down 79 percent from the previous week. Increases were for China (19,600 unsplit and 4,300 grain splits), Mexico (8,200 grain splits and 900 unsplit), Vietnam (3,200 unsplit) and Taiwan (2,400 unsplit). Exports of 80,000 hides were down 45 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (26,100 unsplit), Italy (23,100 unsplit), Mexico (13,000 grain splits and 900 unsplit) and Hong Kong (12,000 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 255,300 pounds resulted as increases for Hong Kong (250,000 pounds) and Taiwan (100,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for China (91,500 pounds) and Indonesia (3,200 pounds). Exports of 723,300 pounds were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior four-week average. The destinations were China (388,500 pounds), Hong Kong (250,000 pounds) and Indonesia (84,800 pounds).
