Hides and Skins: Net sales of 642,800 pieces were down 88 percent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 642,900 pieces were mainly for China (377,600 pieces), South Korea (152,300 pieces), Taiwan (33,500 pieces), Mexico (19,400 pieces) and Hong Kong (14,400 pieces). Exports of 494,000 pieces were up 23 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 487,700 pieces were primarily to China (269,000 pieces), South Korea (98,200 pieces), Taiwan (42,300 pieces), Japan (21,600 pieces) and Hong Kong (14,500 pieces). 

Net sales of 74,900 wet blues were down 90 percent from the previous week. Increases were mainly for China (38,600 unsplit), Mexico (11,900 grain splits and 3,000 unsplit), Taiwan (11,200 unsplit), Vietnam (11,100 unsplit) and Hong Kong (9,800 unsplit). Exports of 83,700 hides were down one percent from the previous week, but up 11 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (25,600 unsplit), Italy (16,800 unsplit), Thailand (14,500 unsplit) and China (12,600 unsplit). Net sales reductions of splits totalling 248,000 pounds were for Hong Kong (200,000 pounds) and China (48,000 pounds). Exports of 290,000 pounds were up noticeably from the previous week and 92 percent above the prior four-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (200,000 pounds) and South Korea (90,000 pounds).
