Hides and Skins: Net sales of 410,500 pieces were up four percent from the previous week, but down 10 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 405,600 pieces were primarily for China (167,400 pieces), South Korea (92,400 pieces), Thailand (51,700 pieces), Taiwan (25,900 pieces) and Hong Kong (25,100 pieces). Exports of 318,000 pieces were down 35 percent from the previous week and 47 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 307,000 pieces were primarily to China (150,800 pieces), South Korea (102,200 pieces), Japan (13,400 pieces), Hong Kong (9,100 pieces) and Thailand (8,400 pieces). 

Net sales of 95,200 wet blues were up 43 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior four-week average.  Increases were mainly for China (52,400 unsplit), Taiwan (17,200 unsplit), Mexico (13,200 grain splits), Vietnam (4,700 unsplit) and South Korea (4,400 unsplit). Exports of 67,800 hides were up 37 percent from the previous week and one percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (14,200 unsplit and 8,800 grain splits), Taiwan (11,600 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (6,000 grain splits and 3,200 unsplit) and Mexico (9,000 grain splits). Net sales reductions of splits totaling 51,900 pounds were for China. Exports of 473,100 pounds were up 81 percent from the previous week, but down 24 percent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (300,000 pounds) and China (173,100 pounds).
