Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 484,500 pieces were up 16% from the previous week and 35% from the prior four-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 453,400 pieces were mainly for China (161,700 pieces), South Korea (149,900 pieces), Taiwan (64,800 pieces), Japan (34,700 pieces), and Vietnam (16,500 pieces).  Exports of 568,100 pieces were down 17 percent from the previous week, but up 6 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 564,000 pieces were primarily to China (223,200 pieces), South Korea (206,500 pieces), Taiwan (38,100 pieces), Japan (35,900 pieces), Hong Kong (28,100 pieces), and Thailand (12,300 pieces).

Net sales of 70,500 wet blues were down 55% from the previous week and 23% from the prior four-week average.  Increases were mainly for Hong Kong (22,800 unsplit), Taiwan (16,400 unsplit), China (8,400 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (8,000 unsplit), and Mexico (6,700 grain splits and 1,000 unsplit).  Exports of 54,500 hides were down 40 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (12,700 grain splits and 1,000 unsplit), China (10,600 unsplit), South Korea (7,500 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (4,800 grain splits and 1,600 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 127,400 pounds resulted as increases for China (131,300 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (3,900 pounds).  Exports of 795,400 pounds were down 13 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were Hong Kong (398,100 pounds) and China (397,300 pounds).
