Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 418,900 pieces were up two and one-tenth times from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 416,000 pieces were mainly for China (242,900 pieces), South Korea (81,400 pieces), Japan (26,300 pieces), Taiwan (22,400 pieces), and Hong Kong (21,100 pieces).  Exports of 687,700 pieces were up 76 percent from the previous week and 44 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 686,300 pieces--a marketing-year high--were primarily to China (308,300 pieces), South Korea (244,300 pieces), Hong Kong (30,900 pieces), Japan (24,900 pieces), Taiwan (18,100 pieces), and Mexico (15,500 pieces). 

Net sales of 155,700 wet blues were up 95 percent from the previous week and 77 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were mainly for China (83,400 unsplit), Taiwan (24,900 unsplit), Mexico (18,400 grain splits), Hong Kong (15,100 unsplit), and Vietnam (11,900 unsplit).  Exports of 90,500 hides were up 9 percent from the previous week, but down 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Taiwan (26,200 unsplit), Mexico (13,400 grain splits and 1,000 unsplit), Italy (13,800 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (8,500 grain splits and 1,600 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 500,900 pounds resulted as increases for China (504,800 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (3,900 pounds).  Exports of 917,900 pounds were up 19 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were Hong Kong (422,100 pounds), China (395,800 pounds), and Taiwan (100,000 pounds).
