Hides and Skins: Net sales of 419,800 pieces were up four percent from the previous week, but down 13 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 418,500 pieces were mainly for China (235,600 pieces), South Korea (93,600 pieces), Japan (28,000 pieces), Hong Kong (26,400 pieces) and Taiwan (22,100 pieces). Exports of 586,000 pieces were up 22 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 580,500 pieces were primarily to China (280,200 pieces), South Korea (148,900 pieces), Japan (37,000 pieces), Taiwan (28,500 pieces) and Hong Kong (24,300 pieces). 

Net sales of 93,300 wet blues were two and three-fifths times the previous week and 34 percent above the prior four-week average. Increases were mainly for China (65,200 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (10,400 grain splits), Taiwan (8,100 unsplit), Mexico (6,800 grain splits) and Vietnam (3,200 unsplit). Exports of 83,600 hides were down 29 percent from the previous week and 19 percent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were China (16,200 unsplit and 6,000 grain splits), Italy (12,800 unsplit), Taiwan (12,300 unsplit) and the Dominican Republic (8,400 grain splits and 3,200 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 1,724,200 pounds resulted as increases for Hong Kong (921,700 pounds) and South Korea (810,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Indonesia (6,000 pounds) and China (1,400 pounds). Exports of 1,381,200 pounds were 88 percent above the previous week and nearly double the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were South Korea (710,000 pounds), Hong Kong (447,700 pounds), China (130,600 pounds) and Taiwan (50,000 pounds).
