Hides and Skins: Net sales of 414,700 pieces were down 20% from the previous week and 13% from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 399,700 pieces were mainly for China (211,200 pieces), South Korea (103,500 pieces), Thailand (25,400 pieces), Mexico (17,300 pieces) and Japan (16,600 pieces). Exports of 449,200 pieces were down 10% from the previous week and from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 436,600 pieces were primarily to China (233,200 pieces), South Korea (107,400 pieces), Mexico (22,200 pieces), Hong Kong (21,300 pieces) and Thailand (16,300 pieces). 

Net sales of 142,200 wet blues were much improved from the previous week and 90% higher than the prior four-week average. Increases were mainly for Italy (29,300 unsplit), China (18,000 grain splits and 7,600 unsplit), Taiwan (18,200 unsplit), Hong Kong (16,000 unsplit) and South Korea (15,900 unsplit). Exports of 91,200 hides were down 9% from the previous week and 18% from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Thailand (16,800 unsplit), China (13,200 unsplit and 3,600 grain splits), Taiwan (16,700 unsplit) and Mexico (8,200 grain splits and 1,100 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 1,798,200 pounds resulted as increases for South Korea (810,000 pounds), Hong Kong (592,300 pounds) and Taiwan (400,000 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for China (3,300 pounds) and India (800 pounds). Exports of 470,200 pounds were down 47% from the previous week and 31% from the prior four-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (292,300 pounds), China (140,700 pounds) and India (37,200 pounds).
