Hides and Skins: Net sales of 515,000 pieces were down 13 per cent from the previous week, but up seven per cent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 508,100 pieces were mainly for China (237,000 pieces), South Korea (179,800 pieces), Mexico (22,300 pieces), Thailand (19,400 pieces) and Vietnam (13,300 pieces). 

Exports of 496,600 pieces were down four per cent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 492,500 pieces were primarily to China (256,400 pieces), South Korea (94,200 pieces), Taiwan (42,600 pieces), Thailand (31,300 pieces) and Mexico (19,800 pieces). 

Net sales of 35,100 wet blues were down 46 per cent from the previous week and 57 per cent from the prior four-week average. Increases were mainly for the Dominican Republic (10,600 grain splits), Italy (6,700 unsplit), Taiwan (6,400 unsplit), South Korea (4,400 unsplit) and Turkey (3,700 unsplit). 

Exports of 100,000 hides were down five per cent from the previous week and 11 per cent from the prior four-week average.  The primary destinations were China (14,600 unsplit and 9,900 grain splits), Taiwan (22,700 unsplit), Mexico (6,400 grain splits and 5,000 unsplit) and Italy (11,400 unsplit). 

Net sales of splits totalling 615,300 pounds resulted as increases for Hong Kong (450,000 pounds), Taiwan (87,000 pounds) and China (86,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Indonesia (7,700 pounds). Exports of 893,000 pounds were up 28 per cent from the previous week and 39 per cent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were China (720,400 pounds), Taiwan (87,000 pounds), the Dominican Republic (44,300 pounds) and Indonesia (41,300 pounds).
