Hides and Skins: Net sales of 621,900 pieces were up 44 per cent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 614,000 pieces were mainly for China (272,700 pieces), South Korea (111,300 pieces), Taiwan (84,600 pieces), Hong Kong (43,200 pieces), and Mexico (34,800 pieces). Exports of 616,600 pieces were up 19 per cent from the previous week and 33 per cent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 592,500 pieces were mainly to China (344,600 pieces), South Korea (92,900 pieces), Taiwan (34,200 pieces), Mexico (28,000 pieces), and Italy (22,900 pieces). 

Net sales of 116,300 wet blues were down 28 per cent from the previous week.  Increases were mainly for Taiwan (34,400 unsplit), Mexico (20,900 grain splits and 800 unsplit), China (21,500 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (18,800 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit), and Hong Kong (9,900 unsplit). Exports of 146,400 hides were up 3 per cent from the previous week and 8 per cent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (32,000 unsplit and 11,100 grain splits), Italy (22,500 unsplit and 3,600 grain splits), the Dominican Republic (20,500 grain splits and 1,600 unsplit), Mexico (15,300 grain splits and 800 unsplit), and Taiwan (12,900 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits). 

Net sales of splits totalling 1,108,600 pounds resulted as increases for China (396,000 pounds), South Korea (270,000 pounds), Taiwan (256,900 pounds), and Indonesia (200,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (14,400 pounds). Exports of 1,176,600 pounds were up 27 per cent from the previous week and 30 per cent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were South Korea (540,000 pounds), Italy (270,000 pounds), Hong Kong (235,600 pounds), and Taiwan (130,900 pounds).
