Hides and Skins: Net sales of 536,000 pieces were down 29 per cent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 534,600 pieces were mainly to China (282,900 pieces), South Korea (108,500 pieces), Mexico (41,600 pieces), Taiwan (33,600 pieces), and Hong Kong (26,800 pieces). Exports of 478,200 pieces were up 34 per cent from the previous week and 11 per cent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 469,300 pieces were mainly to China (234,900 pieces), South Korea (129,800 pieces), Mexico (25,200 pieces), Japan (22,000 pieces), and Taiwan (17,800 pieces). 

Net sales of 104,000 wet blues were up three-times from the previous week.  Increases for China (53,900 unsplit and 2,000 grain splits), Mexico (32,500 grain splits), Hong Kong (14,100 unsplit), and Vietnam (2,000 unsplit) were partially offset by decreases for the Dominican Republic (3,400 unsplit), and Thailand (2,900 unsplit). Exports of 141,100 hides were up 36 per cent from the previous week and 9 per cent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (33,700 unsplit), Italy (24,300 unsplit and 5,400 grain splits), Mexico (16,700 grain splits and 3,000 unsplit), Thailand (14,300 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (6,000 grain splits and 5,200 unsplit). 

Net sales of splits totalling 557,800 pounds resulted as increases for Taiwan (300,000 pounds) and South Korea (265,700 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (8,000 pounds). Exports of 497,800 pounds were down 14 per cent from the previous week and 33 per cent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were Italy (270,000 pounds), Hong Kong (142,000 pounds), and South Korea (85,700 pounds).
