Hides and Skins: Net sales of 310,200 pieces were down 24 per cent from the previous week and 43 per cent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 296,300 pieces were primarily for China (112,100 pieces), Hong Kong (35,900 pieces), Mexico (29,800 pieces), and Taiwan (28,900 pieces). Exports of 499,200 pieces were up 14 per cent from the previous week, but down 13 per cent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 490,600 pieces were primarily to China (230,900 pieces), South Korea (71,800 pieces), Japan (39,500 pieces), Taiwan (38,000 pieces), and Mexico (36,000 pieces). 

Net sales of 78,900 wet blues were down 65 per cent from the previous week and 45 per cent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Mexico (19,500 grain splits and 5,700 unsplit), Thailand (15,600 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (11,900 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit), and China (10,100 unsplit). Exports of 121,700 hides were down 18 per cent from the previous week and 16 per cent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (39,200 unsplit and 3,900 grain splits), Hong Kong (22,200 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (11,900 grain splits and 4,400 unsplit), and Mexico (8,300 grain splits and 4,000 unsplit).

Net sales of splits totalling 1,332,500 pounds resulted as increases for Italy (1,350,000 pounds) were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (17,300 pounds) and China (200 pounds). Exports of splits totalling 765,500 pounds were down 35 per cent from the previous week and 33 per cent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (496,700 pounds), South Korea (135,000 pounds), Italy (90,000 pounds), and China (43,800 pounds).
