Hides and Skins: Net sales of 1,127,700 pieces were up 48 per cent from the week earlier and 80 per cent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 1,119,300 pieces—a marketing year high—were primarily for China (661,000 pieces), Hong Kong (129,600 pieces), South Korea (121,900 pieces), Taiwan (67,600 pieces), and Mexico (60,800 pieces). Exports of 564,400 pieces were up 14 per cent from the week earlier and 5 per cent from the prior four-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 554,400 pieces were primarily to China (282,000 pieces), South Korea (86,600 pieces), Hong Kong (64,200 pieces), Mexico (36,300 pieces), Taiwan (30,300 pieces), and Japan (21,800 pieces). 

Net sales of 113,200 wet blues were down 67 per cent from the previous week and 37 per cent from the prior four-week average. Increases were reported for China (32,500 unsplit and 24,400 grain splits), Mexico (21,000 grain splits and 2,500 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (14,400 grain splits), and South Korea (4,700 unsplit). Exports of 127,100 hides were down 3 per cent from the previous week, but up 14 per cent from the prior four-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (30,100 unsplit and 2,600 grain splits), China (28,100 unsplit), Mexico (16,300 grain splits), the Dominican Republic (13,300 grain splits and 2,800 unsplit), and Italy (8,400 unsplit). 

Net sales of splits totalling 1,950,600 pounds resulted as increases for Italy (792,000 pounds), China (613,400 pounds), and Hong Kong (547,700 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for South Korea (2,600 pounds). Exports of splits totalling 607,600 pounds were down 65 per cent from the previous week and 45 per cent from the prior four-week average. The destinations were China (235,400 pounds), Hong Kong (194,700 pounds), and South Korea (177,400 pounds).
