US export sales for week ending 21/06/2007
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 576,000 pieces were up 27 per cent from the week earlier and 17 per cent above the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 572,000 pieces were primarily to China (311,900 pieces), South Korea (83,200 pieces), Hong Kong (43,500 pieces), Taiwan (41,600 pieces) and Mexico (30,100 pieces).
Exports of 410,900 pieces were 10 per cent below the week earlier and 19 per cent under the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 406,700 pieces were primarily to China (202,100 pieces), South Korea (87,700 pieces), Taiwan (32,300 pieces), Mexico (17,400 pieces) and Hong Kong (17,200 pieces).
The primary destinations were China (34,400 unsplit), Mexico (22,100 grain splits and 4,000 unsplit), Italy (23,000 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (14,000 grain splits and 2,600 unsplit) and Hong Kong (13,900 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 487,900 pounds were primarily to South Korea (402,900 pounds). Exports of splits totalling 1,076,900 pounds were 51 per cent above the previous week and 8 per cent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (416,800 pounds), South Korea (351,900 pounds) and China (222,200 pounds).
