Hides and Skins: Net sales of 400,300 pieces were up 45 per cent from the week earlier and 7 per cent above the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 394,100 pieces were primarily to China (228,100 pieces), Taiwan (56,600 pieces), South Korea (38,100 pieces), Vietnam (17,400 pieces) and Mexico (14,300 pieces).

Exports of 390,400 pieces were down 23 per cent from the previous week and 21 per cent below the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 384,800 pieces were primarily to China (131,300 pieces), South Korea (124,900 pieces), Taiwan (38,800 pieces) and Hong Kong (19,000 pieces).

Net sales of 120,600 wet blues were up 34 per cent from the previous week, but down 4 per cent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for South Korea (25,100 unsplit), China (13,500 unsplit and 11,200 grain splits), Mexico (23,600 grain splits and 1,000 unsplit) and Hong Kong (22,500 unsplit). Exports of 123,100 hides were down 16 per cent from the previous week and 22 per cent below the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Italy (35,000 unsplit and 1,900 grain splits), China (24,400 unsplit and 1,900 grain splits), Mexico (24,700 grain splits), the Dominican Republic (9,400 grain splits and 2,800 unsplit) and South Korea (7,200 unsplit and 1,700 grain splits).

Net sales of splits totalling 1,458,800 pounds were primarily for Hong Kong (1,033,400 pounds), South Korea (270,000 pounds), China (124,100 pounds), and Mexico (44,000 pounds). Decreases were reported for Italy (7,300 pounds) and Indonesia (5,400 pounds). Exports of splits totalling 1,693,800 pounds were up 9 per cent from the previous week and 47 per cent above the prior 4-week average. The destinations were Hong Kong (835,400 pounds), Italy (433,700 pounds), China (330,100 pounds) and Indonesia (94,600 pounds).
