Hides and Skins: Net sales of 129,700 pieces, all of which were whole cattle hides, were 17 per cent below the previous week and 52 per cent lower than the prior 4-week average.  The major buyers were China (85,100 pieces), Taiwan (15,100 pieces), Japan (14,800 pieces) and South Korea (13,700 pieces).  hole cattle hide sales of 125,400 pieces for delivery in 2007 were mainly for China (70,200 pieces), South Korea (33,300 pieces), Taiwan (9,500 pieces) and Thailand (6,100 pieces). Exports of 325,900 pieces were 12 per cent below the previous week and 17 per cent lower than the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 319,500 pieces were primarily for China (125,900 pieces), Taiwan (70,200 pieces), South Korea (61,900 pieces) and Hong Kong (22,000 pieces).

Net sales of 10,400 wet blues were 44 per cent below the week earlier and 82 per cent lower than the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were China (17,900 unsplit and 100 grain splits), Mexico (6,300 grain splits) and Germany (3,800 grain splits).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (17,800 unsplit). Net sales of 44,500 wet blues for delivery in 2007 were mainly for China (32,900 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (4,600 grain splits), Mexico (4,200 unsplit), and Vietnam (4,000 unsplit). Exports of 98,200 hides were 18 per cent below the previous week and 25 per cent lower than the prior 4-week average.  he primary destinations were China (27,000 unsplit and 12,300 grain splits), Italy (21,800 unsplit), Hong Kong (15,100 unsplit), Germany (5,200 grain splits) and the Dominican Republic (4,600 grain splits and 1,300 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 123,700 pounds were entirely for Hong Kong (142,100 pounds), but were partially offset by decreases for Italy (11,200 pounds), China (4,500 pounds) and Indonesia (2,700 pounds). Exports of 679,300 pounds were down 46 per cent from the week earlier and 7 per cent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Italy (305,400 pounds), Hong Kong (186,100 pounds) and China (95,500 pounds).
