Hides and Skins: Net sales of 524,800 pieces were 76 per cent higher than the previous week and 50 per cent above the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 514,100 pieces were mainly for China (273,400 pieces), South Korea (85,400 pieces), Hong Kong (62,800 pieces) and Japan (25,400 pieces). Exports of 534,200 pieces were 10 per cent above the previous week and up 3 per cent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 530,300 pieces were mainly for China (232,900 pieces), South Korea (112,800 pieces), Thailand (37,400 pieces), Taiwan (36,900 pieces) and Mexico (30,000 pieces).

Net sales of 134,400 wet blues were much improved from the week earlier and 62 per cent above the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were China (43,200 unsplit), Hong Kong (36,400 unsplit), Indonesia (18,000 unsplit), Mexico (10,800 unsplit and 7,100 grain split) and Thailand (10,900 grain split). Exports of 205,500 hides were 76 per cent above the previous week and 69 per cent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Italy (92,100 unsplit), Hong Kong (29,000 unsplit and 3,200 grain split), China (23,400 unsplit), Indonesia (23,100 unsplit) and Mexico (7,100 grain split and 2,000 unsplit). Net sales of splits totalling 447,700 pounds were 72 per cent below the previous week and 68 per cent under the prior week 4-week average. The primary buyers were China (200,000 pounds) and South Korea (179,000 pounds). Exports of 1,219,700 pounds were 36 per cent under the week earlier and 2 per cent below the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (781,100 pounds), Italy (220,100 pounds) and Mexico (173,400 pounds).
