Hides and Skins: Net sales of 585,500 pieces were up 30 per cent from the previous week and equal to the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 584,100 pieces were mainly for China (275,300 pieces), South Korea (116,000 pieces), Taiwan (93,300 pieces), and Japan (32,600 pieces). Exports of 429,900 pieces were down 12 per cent from the previous week and 10 per cent below the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 420,600 pieces were primarily for China (243,600 pieces), South Korea (67,500 pieces), and Taiwan (47,200 pieces).

Net sales of 151,000 wet blues were 66 per cent over the previous week and 29 per cent above the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were Hong Kong (74,100 unsplit and 900 grain split), Thailand (15,500 unsplit and 5,400 grain split), Mexico (13,200 unsplit and 6,300 grain split), Italy (17,400 unsplit), and China (10,600 unsplit). Exports of 143,500 hides were 23 per cent over the previous week and 36 per cent above the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (26,400 unsplit and 7,600 grain split), Italy (20,600 unsplit), China (19,600 unsplit), Taiwan (18,500 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (14,100 grain split and 2,400 unsplit), and South Korea (15,200 unsplit).

Net sales of splits totalling 407,900 pounds were 73 per cent below the previous week and 60 per cent under the prior 4-week average. The main buyers were Italy (265,900 pounds) and Indonesia (200,000 pounds). Decreases were reported for Taiwan (44,000 pounds). Exports of 1,291,900 pounds were 55 per cent above the previous week and 25 per cent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (484,400 pounds), Hong Kong (376,600 pounds), Italy (215,900 pounds), and Indonesia (170,000 pounds).
