Hides & Skins: Net sales of 545,700 pieces were 1 per cent below the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 543,200 pieces were mainly for China (236,000 pieces), South Korea (131,300 pieces), and Taiwan (82,700 pieces). Exports of 476,600 pieces were 23 per cent above the previous week and prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 464,000 pieces were primarily for China (165,900 pieces), South Korea (149,100 pieces), and Taiwan (52,600 pieces).

Net sales of 60,800 wet blues were 36 per cent below the previous week. The primary buyers were South Korea (13,500 unsplit), Italy (13,500 unsplit), Taiwan (10,600 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (10,000 grain split), and Hong Kong (4,600 unsplit and 3,300 grain split). Exports of 116,000 hides were 36 per cent above the previous week and 54 per cent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (40,200 unsplit), Italy (13,700 unsplit and 2,000 grain split), the Dominican Republic (13,100 grain split and 1,100 unsplit), South Korea (10,200 unsplit), China (10,100 unsplit), and Taiwan (9,300 unsplit).

Net sales of splits totalling 1,387,700 pounds were 9 percent below the previous week. The major buyers were Hong Kong (926,700 pounds), China (252,400 pounds), and Indonesia (215,000 pounds). Exports of 1,235,800 pounds were 43 per cent below the previous week and 7 per cent under the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (605,400 pounds), Hong Kong (320,800 pounds), and Italy (173,400 pounds).
