US Export sales for week ending 03/11/2005
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 528,400 pieces were 23 per cent above the previous week and 26 per cent over the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 520,000 pieces were mainly for China (253,100 pieces), South Korea (121,700 pieces), Mexico (51,700 pieces), and Taiwan (43,200 pieces). Sales of 16,200 pieces for delivery in 2006 were primarily for China (9,100 pieces) and South Korea (6,800 pieces). Exports of 469,100 pieces were equal to the prior week and 5 per cent over the previous 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 457,700 pieces were primarily for China (223,600 pieces), South Korea (95,700 pieces), Japan (33,100 pieces), Taiwan (32,500 pieces), and Mexico (30,600 pieces).
Net sales of splits totalling 199,700 pounds -all to Hong Kong -were 80 per cent below the week earlier and 87 per cent under the prior 4-week average. Exports of 364,700 pounds were 79 per cent lower than the week earlier and 71 per cent under the previous 4-week average. The destinations were China (270,000 pounds) and Hong Kong (94,700 pounds).
