US Export sales for week ending 13/10/2005
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 447,500 pieces were 43 per cent above the previous week, but 7 per cent under the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 440,800 pieces were mainly for South Korea (182,000 pieces), China (107,300 pieces), and Mexico (56,100 pieces). Exports of 423,800 pieces were 1 per cent short of the prior week and 10 per cent under the previous 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 412,800 pieces were primarily for China (200,300 pieces), South Korea (81,100 pieces), Taiwan (48,500 pieces), and Mexico (30,200 pieces).
Net sales of splits totalling 719,100 pounds were 71 per cent below week earlier and 54 per cent under the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were Hong Kong (299,500 pounds), Taiwan (200,000 pounds), and Mexico (133,000 pounds). Exports of 815,600 pounds were 34 per cent lower than the week earlier and 42 per cent under the previous 4-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (375,000 pounds) and China (217,500 pounds).
