US Export sales for week ending 06/10/2005
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 312,000 pieces were 41 per cent below the previous week and 40 per cent under the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 304,000 pieces were mainly for China (130,100 pieces), South Korea (62,200 pieces), and Hong Kong (31,500 pieces). Exports of 426,100 pieces were 4 per cent below the prior week and 8 per cent under the previous 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 424,000 pieces were primarily for China (186,700 pieces), South Korea (76,100 pieces), Japan (40,200 pieces), and Taiwan (38,500 pieces).
Net sales of splits totaLling 2,459,600 pounds were much improved from the previous week and 90 per cent over the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were Hong Kong (1,544,500 pounds) and Italy (673,400 pounds). Exports of 1,240,800 pounds were 20 per cent lower than the week earlier and 4 per cent under the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (525,600 pounds), Italy (398,800 pounds), and Taiwan (187,900).
