Hides and Skins: Net sales of 439,400 pieces were 23 per cent below the previous week, but 5 per cent above the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 420,800 pieces were mainly for China (195,800 pieces), South Korea (130,500 pieces), Mexico (27,800 pieces), Taiwan (23,000 pieces), and Italy (19,200 pieces). Exports of 409,800 pieces were 28 per cent below the prior week and 13 per cent under the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 389,400 pieces were mainly for China (155,200 pieces), South Korea (118,200 pieces), Mexico (30,700 pieces), Taiwan (29,300 pieces), and Japan (18,000 pieces).

Net sales of 78,800 wet blues were 29 per cent above the week earlier, but 36 per cent under the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were Italy (29,300 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (14,000 grain split and 3,200 unsplit), Thailand (10,300 grain split), and Taiwan (7,700 unsplit). Exports of 91,400 hides were 20 per cent below the prior week and 8 per cent under the previous 4-week average.The primary destinations were Italy (32,300 unsplit and 4,000 grain split), Hong Kong (10,900 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (10,000 grain split and 800 unsplit), South Korea (9,300 unsplit), and Taiwan (8,000 unsplit and 1,100 grain split).

Net sales of splits totalling 1,713,200 pounds were more than three times the previous week and 41 per cent over the prior 4-week average.The major buyers were China (658,500 pounds), Hong Kong (525,100 pounds), South Korea (270,000 pounds), and Italy (126,800 pounds). Exports of 1,375,300 pounds were 17 per cent below the previous week and 6 per cent under the prior 4-week average. The main destinations were Hong Kong (590,100 pounds), Italy (431,600 pounds), and China (219,100 pounds).
