US exports sales for week ending 30/06/2005
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 580,900 pieces were 21 per cent above the previous week and 17 per cent over the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 524,000 pieces were mainly for China (271,600 pieces) and South Korea (108,000 pieces). Exports of 555,500 pieces were 18 percent higher than the previous week and 11 percent over the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 513,800 pieces--a marketing-year high--were mainly for China (194,000 pieces), South Korea (178,000 pieces), and Mexico (41,800 pieces).
Net sales of 27,500 wet blues were 91 per cent below the previous week and 81 per cent under the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were Italy (16,800 unsplit) and Mexico (6,000 unsplit and 1,800 grain split). Exports of 90,900 hides were 53 per cent below the prior week and 32 percent under the previous 4-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (21,500 unsplit and 2,900 grain split), Italy (23,100 unsplit), South Korea (11,400 unsplit and 1,100 grain split), and China (12,300 unsplit). Net sales of splits totaling 762,300 pounds were 8 per cent under the previous week and 27 percent below the prior 4-week average. The main buyers were Hong Kong (492,900 pounds) and China (174,400 pounds). Exports of 1,200,400 pounds were 2 per cent below the previous week and the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Hong Kong (818,600 pounds), Taiwan (196,200 pounds), and Indonesia (142,800 pounds).
