Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 264,500 pieces were 17% below the previous week.  Whole cattle hide sales of 226,600 pieces were primarily for Taiwan (89,300 pieces), South Korea (71,800 pieces), China (28,300 pieces), and Mexico (22,800 pieces).  Exports of 341,700 pieces were 21% below the previous week and 14% lower than the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 303,600 pieces were mainly for China (109,000 pieces) and South Korea (92,800 pieces).

 Net sales of 46,500 wet blues (mainly unsplit) were 62% below the previous week.  The primary buyers were Hong Kong (19,600 unsplit) and Mexico (7,000 grain split and 4,800 unsplit).  Exports of 73,800 hides were down 14% from the previous week and 33% below the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Hong Kong (29,500 unsplit and 7,600 grain split), South Korea (11,100 unsplit) and Mexico (5,500 grain split and 4,600 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totalling 34,600 pounds were down 98% from the previous week.  Increases for Mexico (43,500 pounds) and Taiwan (7,000 pounds) were partly offset by decreases for China (11,400 pounds) and Hong Kong (4,600 pounds).  Exports of 1,140,500 pounds were 22% below the previous week and 28% lower than the 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Italy (390,900 pounds), China (332,300 pounds), and Hong Kong (330,400 pounds).
