Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 576,400 pieces were 30 percent under the previous week and 13 percent below the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 543,100 pieces were primarily for China (145,200 pieces), South Korea (130,700 pieces), and Hong Kong (85,600 pieces).  Exports of 518,900 pieces were 25 percent less than the previous week and 1 percent lower than the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 485,700 pieces were mainly for South Korea (133,300 pieces), China (103,300 pieces), and Taiwan (85,200 pieces).

Net sales of 92,300 wet blues (mainly unsplit) were 53 percent over the prior week, but 11 percent under the previous 4-week average.  The principal buyers were Hong Kong (17,100 unsplit and 4,700 grain split), Taiwan (20,500 unsplit), and China (16,000 unsplit).  Exports of 85,000 hides were 7 percent above the previous week and 2 percent more than the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Hong Kong (26,600 unsplit), Taiwan (19,700 unsplit), South Korea (15,400 grain split), and Mexico (7,000 unsplit and 5,000 grain split).  Net sales of splits totaling 366,400 pounds were 89 percent below the previous week and 79 percent under the prior 4-week average.  The principal buyers were Taiwan (300,000 pounds), Mexico (84,000 pounds), and Spain (42,900 pounds).  Exports of 895,700 pounds were 19 percent below the prior week and the previous 4-week average.  The principal destinations were Hong Kong (530,500 pounds) and South Korea (232,400 pounds).
