Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending June 20 were 395,800 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 278,500 pieces.

The most recent reports on hide prices showed a slight rise for steer hides, with heavy Texas steers weighing 60-62 costing $17.50. 

Cow hide prices fell, however, to $14 for northern dairy cows, $13.50 for south-west dairy cows, $7 for northern branded cows and $6.50 for south-west branded cows, with weights of 50-52 pounds in each case.
