Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending March 28 were 257,100 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 51,700 pieces.

The most recent reports on hide prices showed no change, with levels of $17.50 for heavy Texas steers weighing 60-62 pounds. 

Cow hide prices remained at $18 for northern dairy cows, $17.50 for south-west dairy cows, $9.50 for northern branded cows and $9 for south-west branded cows, with weights of 50-52 pounds in each case.
