Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending March 14 were 327,700 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 156,800 pieces.

The most recent reports on hide prices showed levels of $22.50 for Colorado branded steers weighing 63-65 pounds, and $17.50 for heavy Texas steers with weights of 60-62 pounds. 

Cow hide prices remained at $18 for northern dairy cows, $17.50 for south-west dairy cows, $9.50 for northern branded cows and $9 for south-west branded cows, with weights of 50-52 pounds in each case.
