Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending November 16 were 452,800 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 137,500 pieces.

The most recent reports on hide prices show levels of $24.50 to $25.50 for branded Colorado steers with weights of 66-68 pounds, and $19 for heavy Texas steers with weights of 60-62 pounds. 

For cow hides, prices were $15 for northern dairy cows, $14.50 for south-west dairy cows, $8.50 for northern branded cows and $7.50 for south-west branded cows, with weights of 50-52 pounds in each case.
