Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending November 2 were 330,500 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 28,900 pieces.

The most recent reports on hide prices show levels of $31.50 for butt-branded steers with weights of 66-68 pounds, and $19 for heavy Texas steers with weights of 60-62 pounds. 

For cow hides, prices remained at $15.50 for northern dairy cows, $15 for south-west dairy cows, $8.50 for northern branded cows and $7.50 for south-west branded cows, with weights of 50-52 pounds in each case.
