Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending September 21 were 303,800 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 313,100 pieces.

The most recent reports on hide prices have continued to show levels of $20 for heavy Texas steers, with weights of 60-62 pounds. We also saw prices of $25.50 for Colorado-branded steers weighing 62-62 pounds.

For cow hides, prices were $15.50 for northern dairy cows, $15 for south-west dairy cows, $8.50 for northern branded cows and $8 for south-west branded cows, with weights of 50-52 pounds in each case.
