Sales of cured cattle hides for the period ending February 9 were 663,600 pieces. The figure for exports of wet blue was 99,000 pieces.

The most recent hide prices show $25 for heavy Texas steers weighing 74-78 pounds, $19 for the same type weighing 60-62 pounds,  and $19 for the same type at weights of between 60 and 62 pounds. The most recent prices for cowhides show levels of $14.50 for northern dairy cows, $13.50 for southwest dairy cows, $8 for branded northern cows and $7 for branded southwestern cows. Cow hide weights in each case were 50-52 pounds.
